Ms. Nodine (our cool new STEM) teacher and Mr. Forman (the district Instructional Technology Coordinator) took two awesome Jr. High students (Nate Lundstrom and Haley Knauff) on a scouting mission to Heartland Community College in Normal on Saturday, February 11th for the college's annual SIT (Student's Involved in Technology) conference. This is a student led conference that takes place every winter in multiple locations simultaneously throughout the state. We were there to observe, attend sessions and see if we could take a group of students next year as presenters (oh, and build an awesome hoverboard). After scouting out the event, we are confident that our caliber of students at the Junior High will have some pretty strong proposals to submit to the SIT committee next year and hopefully be representing Mahomet-Seymour in that capacity at next year's event in Normal!
SIT? No thanks, We'll Hover!
